Terms of Service

Last updated: September 18, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Valo app, Valo - your personal AI (“Valo”), the website tellvalo.com, and related services (the “Services”), operated by Persin Private Limited (“Persin”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using Valo, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

About Valo

Valo, your personal AI, is an AI assistant that helps you get things done. You tell it what you need by typing, speaking, or sharing a photo, and it turns that into tasks and reminds you at the right moment. If you choose to, Valo can also read your Gmail and the WhatsApp chats you select to find things you need to do, send messages for you from your own number or mailbox, answer your phone when you cannot, and help you pay bills and people. We are always improving Valo, so features may change over time, and some features may be available only to some users.

Who can use Valo

You must be at least 18 years old to use Valo. Valo is for your own personal use. By using the Services, you confirm that you are at least 18, that you are using Valo for yourself, and that you are not setting it up, or connecting accounts to it, on someone else’s behalf without their knowledge and permission. You also confirm that the information you give us is accurate.

Your account

You sign in to Valo with your phone number. Keep your device and account secure, do not share your sign-in details, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You are responsible for the instructions you give Valo through your account, subject to applicable law. This does not make you responsible for Persin’s own errors.

Connecting your accounts

You may choose to link your Gmail account and your WhatsApp account (your “Connected Accounts”) so that Valo can turn relevant messages into tasks and send messages for you. This is optional. When you connect an account, you give Valo permission to access the information described in our Privacy Policy.

By connecting an account, you confirm that it is yours or that you are authorised to connect it, and that you are allowed to share the information it contains with us, including information about other people in your messages. You are responsible for obtaining any consent the law requires. You can disconnect any Connected Account at any time from your profile, which removes the messages we stored for that connection. Your use of these accounts remains subject to each service’s own terms and restrictions, and a service may suspend or log out a connection at any time.

Messages Valo sends for you

Valo drafts messages, and you decide what goes out. When you tap send, Valo sends the message from your own WhatsApp number or Gmail account, and it is your message. If you ask Valo to follow up with someone until something is done, Valo may send those follow-ups under the standing instruction you approved, in your name, and the recipient can see the message was sent through Valo. You can stop future follow-ups at any time. You are responsible for the messages you ask Valo to send, including their content and who receives them.

Call Assist

If you turn on Call Assist, you set your phone to forward calls to Valo when you are busy or do not answer. Valo answers the caller with an AI voice, using the greeting, voice, and instructions you chose, takes a message, and tells you what the call was about. Depending on your settings, Valo may connect a call to you, contact you or the caller, and share information you have authorised.

By turning on Call Assist you understand and agree that:

  • Call forwarding is a feature of your mobile network. Your carrier may charge for forwarded calls, and forwarding stays on until you turn it off, even if you stop using Valo.
  • Calls are recorded and transcribed, and callers hear a notice that the call is recorded. You are responsible for making sure recording calls is lawful where you are.
  • Valo speaks to callers on your behalf. Anything you tell Valo to say to callers may be said to them, and information you save for callers, such as an address, may be shared with them. Do not give Valo passwords, one-time codes, or anything you would not want a caller to hear.
  • Valo is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it to answer or escalate emergency calls. Valo’s judgement about whether a call is urgent, a scam, or from someone you know can be wrong.
  • Valo may misunderstand a caller, take down a wrong number or name, miss a call, or fail to reach you. Check anything important yourself.
  • Call Assist may come with a free trial. When the trial ends, Valo may stop answering your calls until you renew. We will tell you before that happens, and you should turn off forwarding if you do not continue.

Payments

If you use Valo to pay bills or people, payments are made through our payment partner, currently Razorpay, a payment company licensed in India. Valo is not a bank, a wallet, or a payment system. We do not hold your money. Money moves only from your own bank account, through the payment partner or your own UPI app, to the biller or person you chose.

You authorise each payment yourself, in your own UPI app or in our payment partner’s secure screen, or you approve a UPI Autopay mandate with a limit, within which Valo may ask our payment partner to pay on your behalf when a bill is due. Autopay works within the mandate you authenticate, including its recipient, amount, and validity, and is subject to your bank’s and UPI’s rules, including debit notifications and your right to withdraw the mandate. You can change the limit or cancel at any time in the app or with your bank.

By using payments you understand and agree that:

  • You are responsible for checking every bill, amount, due date, UPI ID, and recipient before you approve it, and for keeping enough money in your account. Valo reads bills and details with AI, and it can be wrong.
  • Payment disputes follow applicable law and the procedures of your bank and our payment partner. Contact us promptly about any Valo error, and your bank promptly about any unauthorised debit. Your statutory rights to reversal, compensation, and complaint remain unaffected.
  • A payment may fail, be delayed, or be reversed for reasons outside our control, including bank or network outages, a limit on your account, or a wrong UPI ID. Payment status shown in Valo may be delayed. Confirm important payments with your bank.
  • You are responsible for any tax, labour, or legal obligations that come with paying people through Valo, such as paying staff.
  • We may limit the amounts, the billers, or the recipients that can be paid through Valo, and we may refuse or stop a payment to comply with the law or to prevent fraud.

Your content

You and any other rights holders keep your rights in the tasks, notes, recordings, photos, documents, call recordings, and other content you create, connect, or that Valo collects for you. You give us a limited licence to store, process, display, and transmit that content for the sole purpose of providing the Services to you, including sending it to the Service Providers described in our Privacy Policy and to the people you ask Valo to message or call. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not use it to train generalized AI models.

Acceptable use

Please use Valo only for lawful, personal purposes. You agree not to misuse the Services, including by trying to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to them; using them to store or share unlawful content; connecting accounts you are not allowed to connect; using Valo to send messages or make calls that are unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or unwanted, or that breach the rules of the service they go through; using Valo to collect money you are not owed; giving Valo instructions that would have it deceive callers about who it is or who you are; or using the Services in a way that infringes the rights of others.

AI and accuracy

Valo uses artificial intelligence to understand what you give it, to create tasks, to draft messages, to talk to callers, and to read bills. AI can make mistakes. Valo may misread a message, get a date, name, number, or amount wrong, miss something, or create a task you did not want. Valo may also create tasks on its own from your Connected Accounts and calls, and update their status automatically. Valo is a convenience tool. It is not a guaranteed or reliable record, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement. You are responsible for checking anything important, and you should not rely on Valo alone for reminders, messages, calls, or payments that carry financial, legal, medical, safety, or other serious consequences. Valo does not provide professional advice.

Notifications, alarms, and calls to you

Valo reaches you through notifications and, when you ask for it, by ringing you like an alarm or calling your phone. If a call Valo answers sounds urgent, Valo may alert you more than once. Calls to your phone may be charged by your carrier. You can control quiet hours and most alerts in the app and in your device settings. We may also send you a small number of notifications about Valo itself.

Fees

Valo is free to use today. Some features, such as Call Assist, may be offered with a free trial. If we introduce fees or paid plans, we will show you the price, taxes, trial, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms before you are charged, and we will charge you only with your agreement. Charges by your carrier, your bank, or your UPI app are separate and are yours to pay.

Our intellectual property

The Valo app, its name, logo, design, and software are owned by Persin and are protected by law. These Terms do not give you any right to use our name, logo, or branding except as needed to use the Services normally.

Changes to the Services

We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or stop offering the Services, for operational, legal, security, or business reasons. Where reasonable, we will let you know in advance of significant changes, and if you have paid for a service we discontinue, we will refund any unused amount where the law requires.

Cancelling and deleting your account

You can stop using Valo at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app, in your profile settings, or by emailing hello@tellvalo.com. Deleting your account removes Valo’s access to your Connected Accounts and cancels automatic payment instructions set up through Valo. You should also confirm with your bank that any Autopay mandate is cancelled, and turn off call forwarding on your phone, as these are outside Valo. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or use the Services in a way that could harm Valo, other users, or the people Valo talks to for you.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This includes any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; that any reminder will be created, delivered, or delivered on time; that any call will be answered, recorded, or passed to you; that any payment will be made, made on time, or made for the right amount; or that anything Valo reads, creates, drafts, says, or sends will be accurate or complete. You use the Services at your own risk, and you are responsible for the decisions and actions you take based on them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Persin, together with its directors, employees, and Service Providers, will not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profit, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms, whether the claim is based on contract, tort (including negligence), or any other theory. This includes any such loss arising from a reminder that is missed, delayed, duplicated, wrong, or not delivered, from a call that is missed, mishandled, or answered wrongly, from a payment that is missed, late, failed, reversed, duplicated, or sent to the wrong recipient or for the wrong amount, from anything Valo reads, creates, drafts, generates, says, or sends, from any Connected Account, carrier, bank, payment partner, or other third-party service, or from any unauthorized access to or loss of your information.

For any other loss, our total combined liability for all claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us to use the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) INR 1,000 (one thousand rupees).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or gross negligence, or any right or remedy you have under consumer protection or payment law. This section survives the end of your use of the Services.

Your responsibility and indemnity

You are responsible for your use of Valo, for the accounts and content you connect, for the instructions you give Valo, and for ensuring you are allowed to do each of these. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Persin and its directors, employees, and Service Providers from and against any third-party claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your unlawful or deliberate misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or the rights of any other person, including any claim by another person about information in the accounts you connect or the messages and calls you ask Valo to handle. This does not cover losses caused by Persin’s own breach, negligence, or misconduct. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and will not settle it in a way that imposes obligations on you without your consent. This section survives the end of your use of the Services.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes relating to these Terms or the Services are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India, without limiting your right to approach consumer commissions, regulators, or other forums the law provides.

General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply to the extent permitted by law. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Persin about the Services. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.

Grievance and contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, or a concern about the Services, including a concern about a message or call Valo handled, contact us at hello@tellvalo.com. For data-related concerns, you can also contact our Grievance Officer as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and tell you about material changes before they take effect. Changes apply going forward. Your continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms, and where the law requires your express agreement we will ask for it. These Terms are published at tellvalo.com/terms and inside the app.
